Lesson Design
The lesson had been converted from the self-study notes of a full instructor-led course. Based on the prior notes, it was concluded that the learning objectives were on the level of "appreciation" (rather than "application"). It had included some learning activities in the form of questions, which could be answered by searching (and copying) from the recommended textbook.

Rationale for using Scenario and Quiz (instead of animations)
[+] Download Analysis, Design and Development notes.
The original notes were perceived as being just a "summary" from the textbook. It did not provide the engagement of critical thinking. The scenario and self-check quiz were included only to showcase an instructional strategy to the subject matter expert on how to increase the need in learners to exercise more critical thinking.
One of the requirements for the end-product was to support mobile learning. Animations were perceived to be more demanding on bandwidth and not preferred. Moreover, it was discovered that the topic of "human developmental psychology" has already been published as video lessons by numerous content creators on Youtube. The production effort to create a fresh animation would require some consideration.
